The 2008 Annual Research Forum of the Linguistic Society of Hong

CALL FOR PAPERS
LSHK members are cordially invited to attend and to present papers
at the 2008 Annual Research Forum of the Linguistic Society of
Hong Kong (LSHK-ARF 2008), which will be hosted by the University
of Hong Kong, on December 6-7, 2008.
The theme of this year's ARF is "From Theory to Practice".
Our keynote speaker is Professor Suzanne Flynn (MIT). As is customary
ARF practice, there will be multiple parallel sessions and papers
related to any areas of linguistics are strongly encouraged.
Each paper will be allotted 20 minutes for oral presentation
and 10 minutes for discussion.
Please note that all ARF presenters (or at least one of
them in a co-authored paper) have to be an LSHK member. If you
are not yet a member, please apply for the LSHK membership by
filling in the application form which can be downloaded from www.lshk.org.
Each member is maximally entitled to one single-author presentation
and one joint presentation. Each submission will be an abstract
of no more than 400 words in English or 800 characters in Chinese.
ARF abstract submissions and registration will be done online
at http://lshk.org/arf2008/registration.php.
Email and/or paper abstract submissions will NOT be accepted.
Authors of selected presentations will be invited to submit a
paper for inclusion in the Selected Papers to be published
by the Society.
