LSHK Outstanding Thesis Award (2008)
Call for Nomination
The Linguistic Society of Hong Kong is now inviting nomination
for the 2008 LSHK Outstanding Thesis Award. The deadline for nomination
and submission of theses is September
22, 2008 (Monday). Other details are given as follows:

Any outstanding thesis which contributes to
any area in linguistics will be considered. |

Category |
| |
There are three categories:
M.A. thesis (awarded within the academic year of 2007/08)
M.Phil. thesis (awarded within the academic year of 2007/08)
Ph.D. thesis (awarded within the academic year of 2007/08)

Eligibility |
| |
Only students enrolled at local tertiary education
institutions are eligible. The Chief Supervisor must be a
regular staff member at a local tertiary education institution
to be eligible to nominate his/her students. The nomination
must be made by the Chief Supervisor. No supervisor should
submit more than one nomination per category in any year.

Procedure |
| |
Please submit two copies of the thesis for review.
The supervisor should ensure that the nominee, if awarded,
agrees to arrange a presentation of the thesis at the 2008
Annual Research Forum of the Linguistic Society of Hong
Kong on December 6-7, 2008.

Hardcopy Submissions:
Two hardcopies of the thesis can be submitted to the LSHK
representative of your institution or mailed to the address
below:
