| The Linguistic Society of Hong Kong has a history of
twenty years now. We organize and co-sponsor linguistic research seminars
and conferences; we hold small scale workshops and call occasional
informal small gatherings -- what we call 'linguistic salons' -- to
share our interest in selected linguistic topics; we put out publications.
These are the main activities of LSHK. We also have special interest
groups.
The annual research forum (ARF) is traditionally held in December.
This year we will also celebrate LSHK's 20th anniversary. This the
11th executive committee decides to make the ARF more attractive
by publishing quality papers in the form of proceedings. We want
to start the tradition of publishing ARF proceedings. This year
we can expect at least two publications to come out as well.
We were elected in December 2005 and we will serve until December
2007 when our term expires and an election will be held. Please
help us to keep LSHK research active and collegial. We usually communicate
by email. Our website is www.lshk.org
